My, how time flies when you’re having fun! Thank you to the families who came in April for our Annual Carnival. We are always so happy to see our students and their families enjoying time together and having fun. A big THANK YOU goes to the following for showing their support through a donation to the event: Norm Sam, Buffalo Wild Wings, Diva’s Hair & Nails, Christine & Hailey Adams, Rico Donuts, Cook-E-Jar, Anna Levario, Keeton’s Kettle Korn, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and the Walmart Distribution Center. We know that our families enjoyed the great prizes we had to offer because of the generosity of our amazing community.

End of the year celebrations will be taking place this month. Be sure to keep up with notes that are sent home so that you don’t miss one of these awesome events. Special awards assemblies will take place on May 24: Kindergarten and 1st grade will be from 9:00 -10:00 a.m., 2nd and 3rd will be from 10:15- 11:15, and 4th and 5th grade will be 1:00-2:30. The assemblies are being held in our gymnasium.

On the evening of May 16, we invite all of our Saguaro families to visit the school from 5:30 - 7:00 for our Arts in Academics event. Come see the wonderful projects that our students have worked so hard to create! Additionally, we are excited to welcome Wildman Phil to our school this month on May 22 and 23, 2017. The students will love seeing all of the spectacular creatures that Wildman Phil has to show them.

As we wish a fond farewell to the 2016-2017 school year, we remind you to encourage students to stay active and learning over the summer break. Don’t forget the fantastic summer reading program at our local libraries and the district offered summer meal program! We hope everyone has a safe and successful summer!
